2 years ago, Rodney McManamy, President of CADzation was searching for a replacement for the tools he had only recently purchased to add PDF creation and manipulation to his AutoCAD batch conversion tool - AcroPlot and AcroPlot JR.

Frustrated by the long lead times and poor support he had received from his current supplier he 'fell' upon the Tracker Software Site and PDF-XChange SDK.

Within days Rodney had converted his entire application to utilise PDF-XChange's complete set of Win32 Print Drivers and library DLL's for post creation manipulation (i.e. Merging and adding bookmarks etc). Astounded by the massive improvement in PDF file optimisation and file compression Rodney pressed ahead and added additional functionality available in our extensive library of functions.

This week saw the culmination of those efforts with a priceless review in the CAD industry press as detailed below. CADzation, now an industry leader - offer users a choice of the SDK driver (Royalty Free) for output from a limited number of applications - and also now offer a package incorporating our 'End user' driver for general PDF creation from any Windows software application as a reseller.

In tests comparing output from AUTOCAD 2004 to offering's from both Adobe and Bluebeam software - CADzation who distribute their AutoCAD conversion tools (AcroPlot) incorporating our PDF-XChange SDK for developers - easily out performed both Adobe and Bluebeam's products.

File sizes were consistently over 90% smaller from the PDF-XChange created files.

Adobe generated files from a sample AutoCAD file of between 1.4 and 1.7 Megabytes

Bluebeam products generated a PDF of between 1.8 and 2.3 Megabytes

AcroPlot (using PDF-XChange) made a file of just 124KB !!!!
