See this handy feature reference or this brief product description(below)  posted on the Clarion/Soft Velocity forums recently - which may help to clarify what Clarion developer's would require - which due to the unique report generation methods employed by Clarion - is not always the same as most other development tools would utilise.

"PDF-Tools SDK is not a print driver and allows Clarion developer's to generate from Clarion reports (and just about any mainline Metafile or Raster image format)  arguably the smallest possible PDF files of any tool - and requires the distribution of only the required DLL's - no print driver install required and its fully Clarionised and ready to go - templates/classes/Clarion help and support + a great deal more
functionality, e.g Scan2PDF, Merge/Extract PDF pages and content, and of course embedding PDF Viewing in your app windows directly - no Acrobat Reader install required, printing commenting, Mark-up, form fill/save etc etc. PDF-Tools would be the option of choice for the majority of our Clarion clients.

PDF-XChange Drivers SDK is our Print driver solution and would usually only be used in a Clarion application where it is necessary to generate PDF output from 3rd party document formats such as .DOC, .RTF .XLS HTML etc. + a whole bunch more functionality like Scan2PDF, Merge/Extract PDF pages and content, and of course embedding PDF Viewing in your app windows directly (no Acrobat Reader install required),  printing commenting, Mark-up, form fill/save etc etc.

PDF-XChange PRO SDK is essentially the above SDK's with some additional functionality such as Digital Signature support, Low Level Api and PDF form creation and extended rights to distribute the PDF-XChange Viewer above the quantities allowed with the above 2 SDK's."

Please note that the PDF-XChange Viewer SDK requires the end user client PC to be using Windows 2000 or later and the Developers version of Clarion must be 5.x for the Viewer Simple DLL option of Clarion 6 or later for the ActiveX version.
